Re-Connecting with 'Hermana Ellertson'

Every month or so our stake institute has a guest speaker come and speak. Last week it was the President of the More Good Foundation, Jonathan Johnson. He spoke to us about how to help the LDS church have a positive presence on the internet. They help everyday mormon voices be heard by providing tools, training and support for mormons to share their beliefs online. Needless to say, I came away inspired to re-connect with the former 'Hermana Ellertson' and start making my beliefs known online.

So here it is: My name is Kaylene Ellertson, and I'm a mormon. I'm not ashamed of it because I know I am a better person because of it. I was born into the Mormon church and plan to raise my future family in the Mormon church. I'm not just a member because that's all I know, but because I believe and know it to be true.

for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
(A.K.A. the mormon church).
I served in Asuncion, Paraguay...and loved it.

If you have any question about the Mormon Church's beliefs, please ask one of it's current members. There is a lot of garbage out there online with false ideas and incorrect "facts" about the mormon church.

These are some Facts:
We are NOT a cult
We DO worship God the Father and His son Jesus Christ
We do NOT worship Joseph Smith
Our clergy are NOT paid
We DO believe the bible to be the word of God
We believe the Book of Mormon to be ANOTHER testament of Christ
We believe God has called prophets on the earth again
We ARE Christians.
